Im trying to bounce some info off some of you guys maybe I can get some results with not going to the dealer. Went to start my bike up today and the bike would not crank! The check engine light lit up like it always does for about 4 sec went away I tried starting it and nothing. ALso after the run switch has been turned on , The security key light stayed on. I have no security system on the bike. I then pulled the fuse cover and battery cover to check my connections. all the fuse's were good but a little chalky and corroded so i cleaned everthing up with contact cleaner. Checked the (DTC) and got a U1064 code. Im wondering what my next step should be, I checked around for any damaged wires but everthing looks good. Maybe should I try password learn procedure for the TSM/Tssm Ecm/Icm ? I have no Idea what caused it. Im guessing some type of short some where. Maybe someone else has had this problem. Any info will help.

 

Clear the codes and see if she starts, if not cycle thru all your elctricals turn sigs horn brake lights etc and look for a short in your wires or grounds in your hand controls
