Default Harleys 180mm tire set up for dyna

Anybody know why the 180 mm tire setup Harley sales for Dyna will not fit or at least Harley says it won't fit a 08 dyna CVO? Or Is it that something about the rear of the CVO is diff or does Harley not won't anyone to alter a cvo? Can anyone help? I want to put the fatter tire on my bike and i can't see any reason that would keep it from working.

Frame on the CVO should be exactly the same as the normal Dyna. There could be additional wiring that would have to be extended/rerouted in order to move it out of the way of the sidewall. With HD CVO models, the moco figures that the average CVO owner would not be doing very many mods, hence not offering the kit. I'd be willing to bet that the 180 will fit just fine without having to buy the Moco's kit.

I thought it already had the 180 kit installed. so you wouldn't need to reinstall it. Just order a replacement tire if thats whats needed.

Your stock tire should be a 170mm, if you have more than 5mm-10mm of clearance to each side of the tire then you could just have the 180 installed with no problems.
