Gentlemen... I also posted this in teh "general" section but thought Id give you guys a shot as well.... Im looking for a good local indy shop in the greater Fox Valley area of WI... preferably closer to Appleton.... Looking to get some tires mounted and MAYBE some dynoing\tuning done.... I dont care if its a general "motorsports" place or an actual HD place... just looking for quality and support the locals if I can... thanks in advance...
just looked in the monthly abate rag and here are two in your area. Johhnys cycle shop 5034 N Richmond st appleton wi. and Mid America cycles, 1134 w. Wisconsin st appleton wi.
Hey Gambler, I'm here in your area. Don't go by what Axel said (sorry).
Ray's Cycle in Medina and Classic Cycle in Neenah are great shops. I have first hand experience with Ray's and know several people who have gone to Classic. Give either of them a try.
Thanks HD Ill check them out... I didnt realize you were this close when we were talking about the sissy bar.... did you get that at the Appleton dealer? did you have to buy the side plates separate or did it come with everything?
I didn't realize that either. Yes, I got the sissy bar at the Appleton dealer. The sales guy (can't remember his name, but long beard and full sleeve tats) was a big help. I did not need anything else, just the original equipment sissy bar. Took a bit because I had to remove the strut brackets and directionals - and it took guys to get it all done. Not hard, just took some time and thought.
awesome.... sounds like Ive got a trip to the dealer in my future are you a member of the local HOG club? it would be crazy if we saw each other but never knew it....
I am not. I looked at joining this past fall, but I didn't since the riding season was over. I will likely join in the spring. Very cool, we'll have to PM each other in the spring and ride.
