Rear Turn Signal Relocation Problem Need Advice
 

So i finally got a removable sissy bar for the wife to go on my 09 Street Bob. When I went to screw the rear turn signals into the new rear turn signal relocation bars they bottomed out with the turn signals facing the wrong directions. First I added washers hoping for them to bottom in a different location but they still weren't facing the right way my next thoughts are to either put enough thread tape on them so that it holds the signals tight without bottoming out, but I don't know if that will be a very sturdy fix with all the vibrations of a bike. Or I could start cutting down the relocation bars one thread at a time until they work. Any thoughts or has anyone had this problem before any advice would be greatly appreciated. Am I missing something totally obvious here?

Thread a nut on first than screw on turn sig, then thighten nut against sig (jam nut). If you want it to look good your indy will have a chrome nut.

Are you running bags? If not you could do like I did, I took off the turn sig stand off and installed the detach hardware then a spacer and then the sig with a bolt coming out from the inside of the fender.

Thanks for the idea about the jam nut I hadn't thought of that but that should work out. I thought about running the signal off the detachable hardware but I already bought the relocation kit with it so might as well use it.

The relo kit should have come with the jam nuts, mine did. Course it won't cost much for stainless nuts.
