My SE 2 slip ons took a crap on me while riding... very embarrasing to say the least.. I have taken some extra precautionary measures to not let this happen again ie. rivets, lock tight, but.......

They now have some pretty good scratches in them.. not that noticable while passing by the bike but it bothers ME.. I got the pipes used from a friend and was wondering what some of the best ways to get these buffered up and looking nice again would be...

I've used Turtle Wax Chrome polish with rust remover on my small scratches.

 

Have you tried some Simichrome polish, it's good for blueing on pipes, might help with light scratches.

 

Scratches will not come out of chrome. Period. Unless you rechrome they are there.

Be careful polishing them too much. You can polish through to the nickle underneath which is a different color.
