RE: Windshield Buffeting - let's understand this
Here are the shield adapters I made out of heavy aluminum...

Hope you can read the writing on the pics in full screen. But the first pic shows what it looks after its on. The second and third show how the adapter looks, and the direction it would go on. The front slot on the adapter is bolted on to the bracket on the shield itslef, using a couple of fender washers and a bolt, locknut and a couple of fender rubber washers. Kind of crude but effective.

Does anyone think the chrome plate that fills the gap between the headlight & forks on the Fatboys & Roadkings helps reduce buffeting? I have rode a RK with touring shield with almost no buffeting, but my FXDXT was the worst bike for buffeting I have ridden.

Very nice. I'v been contemplating lowers for a while. Where did you get yours? Are they a quick release design. And I like your new windshield angle. I think I'll have to make something similar for mine.

I think your right. I took the same bike out today on a Demo Ride and the bike had hardly any buffeting. The wife was ready to trade up.

RE: Windshield Buffeting - let's understand this
I talked to a guy I know who works at the local Harley shop (get this, just for fun) and he showed me a part they sell for the baggers. It's called a baffle and mounts under the bottom triple tree. He said HD doesn't have one for the Dyna but he has seen them and would try to find the link for me. He said this baffle took care of the same problem they have with the baggers. So if I get a link from him I will post it here.
