06 fxdbi not charging

does anybody have electrical diagnosis manual for 2006 streetbob, bike not charging, any help greatly appreciated.

Disconnect the cable that goes from the stator to the regulator. Check the resistance between each of the three terminals coming from the stator. It should be infinity, or something close to it. If its down around 10 ohms or less between any of the terminals, buy a stator.

If your check engine light AND the Battery light came on at the same time, then replace the regulator along with the stator. Both are shot.

If your bike was throwing a check engine light as you were slowing to a stop, and would go off just after you stopped, your stator is fried. Code would be either an overvoltage or undervoltage code. Dont remember which numbers they were. Theres a sticky either on the top of the Dyna section or Softail section on how to pull codes from the ECM

But before you jump to any conclusions, make sure your battery terminals are tight, specifically the ground lug on the frame. These are notorious for loosening and causing all sorts of hate and discontent.
