Mirrors with led's?

I want to remove my front directionals on my street bob to clean up the front end(also going to internally wire it) has anyone installed mirrors with built in led directionals? If so how do you like them? , what kind do you have ? And do i need a load equalizer. I have built in directionals into my tail light (panacea) and have one back there . I have got mixed responses when inquiring about the mirror leds...thanks!

I installed the HD signal/mirrors and I like 'em... They're completely invisible in the daylight tho!!!

I used the Kuryakyn LED mirrors on mine. Like 'em, and if you have a load equalizer for the back signals, then you don't need one for the front.

I've got the HD signal mirrors also. I wouldn't say they are... "completely" invisable in the daylight, but I know what iDodgimus means. I certainly wouldn't count on oncoming traffic being able to see them in bright sunlight. Harley clearly states that they are not to be used "in place of" standard turn signals. At night they're great. The wiring is VERY fragile so you have to be very careful when you install them and when you are adjusting the mirrors. One of the LEDs is out on one of my mirrors and if/when any more go out, I'll be looking into the after market models.

sbaalman: Are the Kurys more visible than the HDs in the daylight?

I had a set of those Iron Cross mirrors you see with the LEDs installed and they worked well day and night. Problem was they are heavy and after a while on my 1999 solid mount Sportie the bolts would strip out or break. It just seemed like over time the vibration would kill them. Wouldn't recommend them at all.

Don't know what you're looking at but something to keep in mind.

anyone..anyone.. Bueller? Bueller? Guess not . well after i figure out which ones to buy and install them i'll let ya know how it works. I have a lot of changes planned and a garage full of parts from ebay!!

I installed the HD ones... The wiring was easy, the instructions weren't clear, they aren't visible in the daylight. I kept my stock sigs but I've heard that you can wire them as the instructions say and just not plug in the stockers and they'll be fine... just invisible

I was going to go with the HD ones too, pretty pricey too, maybe thinking they look to sportbike. I relocated my signals to the forks from the bars, now i dont like how they widen the front ends look. So my bud has a set of signals that mount on the ends of the bars hes changing out and is going to give me. Had never seen them B4. Look like little pyramids. Try and try again.

Apehanger, when I had a SB and wanted to ditch my front directionals this is what I was looking at,
http://www.heartland-usa.com.au/acce...ngmirrors.html.
I first heard about them from another Forum member. They looked good and he gave a nice review on them. I might get a pair in chrome for my Low Rider when I get around to doing the front end..... If I can find his post I will let you know.
