HD Fog/Running Lights - engine guard mounting
Hi there... Is there someone out there that is familiar with HD #68913-98C Fog/Running light, that is adverstise for mounting on the engine guard? If so, with the 55 watt of power generated from the lights, is that sufficient for running lights or merely fog lighting. Looking for lighting that would open up the ride at night.

Here's a link to some pics from another member's install. They look pretty bright.

Here's another link. I wonder if they would work set in on the Deluxe since I have the footrests...probably not.

I've got those lights on my Street Glide.
I recently upgraded the bulbs to LED's ( https://www.hdforums.com/forum/gener...fog-lamps.html ) in hopes of getting more light on the road.
While it did improve marginally, I was a bit disappointed until it dawned on me that it was the fog lamp housing not the bulb.
The fog lamps are designed to spread light out low to the ground not to project out like driving lights would. The reflectors in the fog lamps fan out in a semi-circle diffusing the light output.
While they help you to be seen, if you really want more light to ride by you would be better off with one of the driving light alternatives that will focus the light in front of you.
I recently upgraded my headlamp to the Trucklite/Kuryakyn LED.
Now, that made a big difference and really throws the light out.
Hope this helps.
