Won't hold idle

Yesterday I rode my 2010 fxbd about 100 miles during the day no problems at all. Then I washed it and put it up. Got it out last night to go out and it started funny. I shut it off and restarted it several times no problems, so I took off and rode about 3 miles fine. As I was coming to s stop it died. Restarted and it died. Finally got it running and for the rest of the night any time I stopped it died. It just will not idle, as long as I give it some gas it will run. I also noticed a couple of times when I turned it on the fuel pump kept running instead of shutting off after a few seconds. I am assuming that water got somewhere it shouldn't have since everything was fine before I washed it, but I don't know what I should be looking to dry. Any ideas are very appreciated.

Start with the ECM connector and the FuelPak. If you have it mounted where it can easily get wet that is most likely where the problem is. You really need it hidden completely under the seat.

I have it under the seat, but I pulled my seat to wash the bike because I had gotten caught in the rain so the bike was filthy and I couldn't get to the front of my rear fender to clean it with the seat on. I'll check it out and thanks

You might want to put some dielectric grease on ALL connections, helps keep them dry and corrosion free.

+1 on the grease, alot of folks forget that step on relays and fuses.
