Tank Badge question

Are the tank badges on the FB stuck on there or are they forever secured with rivets? i found someone to do some pin stripping for around a hundred bucks and the whole thing will work as long as the tank badges come off. i have the denim silver paint and thought about doing some black and red stripping on it. maybe some classic chit. nothing too wild or fancy.

I think they are stuck on, a little heat and some fishing line and they come right off. Sounds cool, be sure and post up when it's done.

Took mine off with a little fishing line and a hair dryer. You'll still have some risidual glue to get off, but a little alcohol or body shop degreaser and some elbow grease and it will come off. The Fat Bob tank looks great without the badges, you'll love it.

I removed the "blades" from the tank on my '11 FXDF. I just hit it with a blow dryer & pulled gently at the edge until it started to peel. The remaining glue rolled up with my thumb. Get 'em good & warm. Took about 5 min per side.

Thanks! Once I get the green for the striping, I will be sure to post. And this has been put on the back burner for now due to have to buy a battery today.
