Default On Street Glide while FXDWG in shop

So I've got a loaner street glide while my wg is getting it's 1000 mile service and gotta say it is not the bike for me at all. I'm tippy toeing it, good thing I'm used to that from tiding dirt bikes but they only weigh about 250lbs.

Its kind of rainy out so I had my rain jacket on and between the fairing and my jacket some how the wind turbulence was pushing my glasses down my face. I guess it was hitting the edge of my half helmet and then pushing the glasses down.

The floor boards also felt a mile high. So after every take off I felt I was lifting my feet up forever.

That being said once out on the highway it rode pretty smooth and had a bit of ***** too. The radio was nice too.

Still I wanna be back on my WG already. Plus I just put some Rush slip ons w/ 2 inch baffles on this morning before I took it in for service and it was sounding a whole lot better than with the stock cans on.

I guess I am not ready to ride a couch as my daily driver just yet.

Put about 70 miles on the SG before I took it back. My second ride was better, I spent some time adjusting my gear before heading out. I could see myself on one that was lowered about an inch or two. But I do a lot of city riding and like something a bit nimbler.

When jumping back on my WG, it felt like a Sportie after the SG.

It was awfully kind of them to loan you another bike for an hour or three.

Exactly why I will not take one for a ride...look at maybe, but no ride. That would get me in to just a little bit of trouble! lol

They don't do it out of the kindness, I paid for the service so when I have warranty work or normal service done they give me a loaner. Since I paid for that, I'm gonna make sure I get I take a spin on one their bikes any chance I get. I could have taken a fat boy, but knew I wanted to try the street glide first.

Dealer let me try a Street-Glide and a Road-King with the 103 in them when I took my bike in for service. Well I wished I hadn't ridden them because the 96 in the Fat-Bob just doesn't get it for me now. I was really impressed with how well the Road-King handles for a heavy bike. Same goes for the Street-Glide too. Real easy to manuver in tight spaces at low speeds, better than my Fat Bob. Both bikes have a real nice balance to them. If I had the money it would be bye-bye for the Fat-Bob.
Dealer must of though I was some kind of high-roller to let me take those two out for a couple of hours. Jokes on them, by no means do I have that kind of money to step up to those machines. It was a nice experience while it lasted.
