Xied's??

I know that some put in xied's instead of a tuner, but can someone tell me exactly what they do?

Xied is a closed loop enrichment device, it's plug and play and provides 13.8:1 fuel/air mixture, it's basically an add-on to the ECM. In my opinion it really doesn't do much, at least not as much as the Super Tuner... but that's me... 2200 reads every second compared to some upload Harley pulled outta their a$$.

Best money that I spent

My motor runs cooler and better bottom end. I love mine on my 2007 softail.

if you like performance the Super Tuner is your best bet, if you're just cruizing... the Xied is a lot less and no Dyno run necessary.

What they do, is alter the voltage reading that goes to the computer, which in turn, tells the computer to add fuel.

The computer reads a lower voltage as a lean condition, and it then compensates for it.

Bike runs cooler, and they will work with pipes and air cleaner changes....any more than that, and no luck.

Steve at nightrider.com can hook you up.

Mine work great!

For the money you can.t beat the xieds.
With great bottom end for sure.
Top end isn't bad either

Just out of curiosity, how do they impact mpg?

Oh, as I recall, precious met a firey end!

My around town mileage dropped a couple of mpg. I'm sure part of it is the XIED's and part is my right wrist. Runs around 42 now. Took a 1100 mile trip a couple of weeks ago, and my hwy mileage was 51. Stock 2010 FXDC
