LED Headlight - doesn't work :(

I bought new HD LED head light for my Dyna Sport 2000 (FXDX)

IMHO It was installed correctly. The part number is fit for my model.

But LED doesn't work! Why? Where's the problem?
Incorrect connection? Or I need order any additional devices for normal work?
Thank you!
Alex

It is a simple plug & play device. you can try plugging your original light back in to make sure no wire got shorted in the process or plug your LED into someone else's bike without installing it in the bucket just to make sure it works. But if you can't do that bring it back. It just might not work.

Do you have a 12V battery that you can use to check it with? Use a piece of wire to hook the negative battery terminal to the pin connected to the black wire of the headlamp, and the positive to either of the other 2 pins (but not both at the same time). If it lights, your bike's headlamp plug has a broken wire or is mis-wired.

Try the above and hope for the best. Returning lightbulbs can sometimes be tricky, especially when they cost upwards of $300!

It's not a simple "light bulb" the guy is returning and besides there's a 3 months warranty on the item.

The H-D LED headlamps all have a 1 year warranty. I just returned one two weeks ago that I purchased in November. No hassle from the dealer.

I'm glad to hear that! I received mine about two months back and didn't even read the warranty. Mine came from Zanotti's after a 2 month wait, so I hate the thought of having it not work.

luisan, I think I know about the LED bulbs. I was just commenting, thinking that most electrical items like light bulbs and the like are pretty hard to return.

Not at all, they replaced my LED aux lights that fogged up without problems
and I was told that there is a 90 day warranty on the items.

I see that you are from Russia. If you have an international harley, there are some wiring nuances. Be sure that the pin outs match. I can tell you things like my rear fender, fuel gage, headlight, turn signals are wired differently than the US Spec bikes.

Also, check all of the wiring diagrams in the manual. I have encountered a couple discrepancies in the diagrams with my bike.

Of course I've pretty much re-wired my whole bike with after market parts.

I don't know if that's the issue, but I wanted to give you a heads up
