Since the 08 Wideglide and FatBob use the same tank Im wondering if the wideglide console will bolt up to the FatBob tank and if the wiring harness is the same for both.
The only difference that I can see is the 4in speedo vs the 5in speedo.
The slim wideglide console is much nicer looking than the cheesey FatBob console. I added the plastic chrome lower, but the Wideglide console still looks better.
Comparing p/n's it looks like they dont swap without a bunch of cutting and splicing.
I thought that the tanks were the same because I was looking at a 2008 CVO Wideglide with the narrow console but it turns out that the tanks are different.
I'm ditching my SG/FB console, speedo and all for a CVO dash - finally got all the parts now but still have to send out the lower panel so the chrome matches.........bottom is a sort of smoked chrome. Checked the book and I think everything will swap right over.
There are several threads on here with dash conversions. They will swap with a little ingenuity. If you can't find them, PM me and I'll post the sights. Have them bookmarked but don't have the time right now to look them up.
I don't know about that one but I've bought the book for a 2010 FXDFSE, compared everything and it looks like a straight swap - you do have to change the top cover as the bracket is pretty different, not something you can just bend to fit.
All dyna tanks will interchange it is the console and instrument configuration that is different. If the console matches it is a straight swap if not you have to decide which console to use and if you need to make any mods.
