I searched but didnt find my answer.

I just bought a AN Big Sucker ac and wanted to get the willie g skull cover. Which one will work on it. There seems to be 2 part numbers listed and just curious on the ones that have it what part number did they go for.

29417-04 and 27939-08

I have seen the 29417-04 fit the screaming eagel stage 1 ac, i just dont know if that ac is the same as the an big sucker. Dont want to buy something that wont fit.

Pretty sure the 29417 is the one you want.

29417-04 has center mount,
27939-08 looks like it mounts with 2 bolts

find a different cover, I went thru 2 of those dinner plate covers, they break right where the bolt goes thru, vibration of the engine and a weak area on the cover

 

SORRY IF I'M WRONG BUT NEITHER OF THOSE showing in your post WILL WORK WITH AN arlen ness BIG SUCKER,WHICH HAS ONLY ONE MOUNTING HOLE IN THE CENTER caps lock...oops... unless the willie G. skull comes out the middle , which i doubt because those things are jus cheap plastic!

 

Im pretty sure the 29417-04 has a star mount under the cover that uses the center screw to mount the air filter and then there is 5 screws that mount the actual cover. It is made of 2 pcs thats why you dont see the center hole to mount the ac. I am just curious what is the outside diamter of the willie g skull cover on each part number. Then somone can measure there AN air filter.

 

Pontiac is right, I have the same cover except mine is the "Number 1" cover. It comes with the star mount and a washer to make it fit. The ness and the screamin eagle air cleaners are the same size.

 

Outer diameter of the skull insert is 5.5 inches. Mine is not plastic. Attaches with a star mount via the center bolt of the stock ac bolt. Had mine for over two years and no signs of any wear and tear anywhere. Looks as new as the day I bought it.

I found a pic of the mount for the 29417-04. It does have a star type mount.

 

So i got everything installed. I bought the 29417-04. Big sucker was a pain to install but the cover was fine. Looks great.
