I have a 08 FXD with a sidecar and currently have 18' apes that came on the bike. I need something lower with more pullback so I have better leverage turning. I think beach bars might be good but am not sure. Anyone out there have them and would like any thoughts or comments unless they are negative. When riding I almost feel like I am going to bend the bars turning at slow speed. I am also concerned with tank clearance and reach when turning hard with really wide beach bars.

 

I tried a set of beach bars. They were just way too wide. I also have these bikini bars pictured. They are not bad and are relatively comfortable. I prefer apes, but its nice to have options, and with a sidecar I suspect they are a bad choice.
