Who Doesn't Like Ape?
 

Just a general question, no bashing implied or called for. I just don't like the looks or the feel of tall ape hanger bars, and I'm seem to be in a small minority there.

Anybody dislike them? Without bashing.

(If you do like them, no need to defend them. To each there own and such...)

had a pair of apes on my 2008 dyna superglide when I picked it up.went thru 4 seats could not get comfortable.changed the bars to a set of roadking touring bars and have been fine since then.brought my hands down and back and that made the difference.

I personally only do mods that improve the comfort, performance & handling. Dont like my hands too high

If lower than my shoulders, they're OK, but not for a Touring bike IMO.

I don't like apes either and probably never will. Drag bars suit me just fine. Like ynots I'm also mostly concerned with comfort.

I know a lot of people like them but for the life of me I don't know why.

I like apes mostly because they are comfortable. Anything lower than 14" apes and my arms fall asleep after a few hours. Drag bars just kill my back.

I liked them when I was a teenager but that was a uh little while back. I like the touring bars now...they are so much more comfortable than even the buckhorns that came on my bike.

I like how they look on some bikes, but I wouldn't ever want them for myself.
