Hey Shredding rubber,
What bearing did you use? You used a 1 inch bearing or two that added an inch?
Did that mess with the caliper alighment.
I swapped my rears for alballs and used the Motion Pro tool. made my own long driver bit.
I thought about using a wider better bearing but went with the original width and allballs in the rear at 8K miles. I will be doing the front next season with a new tire.
I would like to go your route with a wider better bearing that last.

Some of the All ***** bearings are asian imports too ! Stick with Timken/Fafnir or other name-brands.

Been running the allballs bearings since last year.
I haven't heard anything bad about them.
I will change them out at every other tire change. Inexpensive enough.
No problems here.
I used never-seeze when installing the bearings for easy removal.
The original Harley (china) bearings had rusted!
I ride in all weather and you need to go the extra in weatherizing.

I will look to this thread when I do tire changes, and keep an eye on mine.

So crazy, we have these on the shelf at work. It is the same as a Class 8 truck clutch pilot bearing.

stilup, since the thread's been revived, can you provide any further feedback on the AllBalls?
I'm running them in wheels on a Buell without problems, but only about 10k mi so far.

Per multihdrdr, i bought the pit posse bearing tool. It paid for itself already and it works well.

You'll also find 205pp 25mm bearings in there too... came from here:
