Default Reduced Reach conversion on Fat Bob

Hey ya'll. I just bought my first HD and love it. It is an 08 Fat Bob. The only thing I want to change is it is forward controls and I am short by about 1/2 inch. I love the feel of the controls and the look. Just need to being it back a little. Looking at the HD reduced reach forward control conversion which utilizes the factory shifter and pegs. The question is it comes with a new brake rod but does anything have to be replaced on the shifter side or just the linkage adjusted?
Thanks

just put it on my 10 wide glide. Just adjust the shifter on the spline to suit your position. I have a 28" inseam so I also added custom chrome peg elevators for a total of 2" rearward adjustment. Its perfect for me now.

Thanks for the quick reply. I thought it wouldn't be tough to install just wanted to make sure on the shifter side. It seemed too easy. Lol

You can go with the H-D Reach seat that may be another way to go. Maybe your dealer has one you could try. The seat may be easier than changing the foot controls and it would also move you closer to the handlebars too, if you have trouble reaching the hand controls too.
I love my Fat Bob and you enjoy yours more when it fits you better, Good luck.
