Why not just buy a set of pistons and bore your stock jugs? One thing I am not crazy about on my WG is the fact that the coating on the jugs isnt a perfect match to my heads. I'm willing to bet S&S jugs arent a perfect match. I had to get new jugs for that, I went with a 4-1/8" bore. Getting cylinders bored is pretty cheap, I think most shops will do them for around $150

My indy mechanic can get me a great deal on the S&S 106 setup. I want to keep my stock cylinders and pistons. I was hoping some of the 106 users would chime in. Seems most here have gone the 107 route.

I am not so worried about appearance at this point . the black coat on my cylinders is already going grey in some areas where the bike engine gets hottest.

My concern is regarding the strength of the stock cylinders. Can they withstand a boring to 107 without problems ? Anyone here done a bore job that big ?

I have the S&S 106" on my Streetbob. I have about 8,000 miles on it and have loved every minute of it! What do you want to know?

How reliable it is day in and day out . I figured it was a lot of fun for sure. with the price my indy mechanic can get it for me seems like the way to go. Any problems with it using oil? thanks for your help I truly appreciate it.
