Yep, Mustang Vintage Solo w/drivers backrest. Best purchase ever made. I'm 6'3" and it sits be up taller and back a bit compared to my Badlander and Sundowner seats.

I believe bikerlaw has both versions of the mustang and pics of both too.
Love mine and suggest if you go mustang, get the drivers backrest...it's removable in case you don't want to run it all the time but then you have it in case you do. I use mine all the time. Online, should be about $500-600 total, with pillion and backrest.

The Mustang company has a website (mustangseats). I believe the company is in Connecticut.

Big + 1, on the Mustang Vintage Solo! I have the "wide" ,after some years of rideing with the HD "sundowner" solo, and It's apples to oranges in difference. The Mustang is 2 inches wider, about 2 inches further back, and is pritty much like sitting on a "lazy-boy". Real good for the long haul.

Best wishes....Tim(HT)

P.S. That's an old pic on my Avitar w/ the Sundowner. It "went away".

Wild to see so much love for a seat I found so uncomfortable myself, even after trying to like it for hundreds of miles! We're all different, and thank God we are.

Default Mustang Seats

I bought a mustang set up for my RKC. I have the 4 pieces; one seat and back rest for me, one for the passenger but that's not what I want to say here.

I originally wanted the biggest cushiest seat available and asked for it by name from the Mustang folks, but they said no. I was surprised by this and the lady on the phone took the time to ask me about my height, arm reach and all that, but the way she asked was extremely enlightened. She asked how I was seated now and how my reach was etc, I don't remember her exact words but at the end of it all she insisted that the super touring seat was the one I wanted, not the original one I thought I wanted which btw, was worth $200 more CDN dollars. The one I wanted would have pushed me back 3/4 of an inch too far.

She lost $200 on the sale to ensure I received the correct seat for my bike, height, and reach. For that reason I recommend Mustang, and if I didn't I would be doing them and all of you a disservice.

BTW I love my Mustang seat and my wife loves hers. Went from painful to comfy immediately, and so easy to install too.

OH YEAH - I almost forgot. The lady on the phone gave me the 2nd backrest with the black pearl inlay so it would match the rest of the seat for less than cost because originally I was just going to reuse the stock Harley seat, and she knew I would appreciate the matching backrest in the long run - and she was right.

I'm not sure how it compares to a low rider seat, but my stock fxd solo seat is super comfortable, sat on a stock superglide custom and didn't even come close. Granted most my riding prior to my fxd was on a sportster running a mustang day tripper seat
