2010 dyna shop manual error?
I was putting my air cleaner back on and looked in the shop manual for the torque settings for the breather bolts and it list them at 22-24 ft-lbs (264-288 in-lbs). This can't be right, SE backplate install instructions list it at 120-144 in-lbs (big difference). Looks like a misprint in the shop manual to me. I'm using the SE install list for the torque, but has anyone else found mistakes like this?

It's likely the screaming eagle plate is softer metal and can't handle as much torque. I just checked against my 2008 Dyna service manual and both of them say the same thing 22-24 ft-lbs.
See Figure 4-1. Position new gasket (12) on backplate.
Insert two breather bolts (9) (metric) into backplate.Thread
bolts loosely into each cylinder head. Final tighten bolts
to 22-24 ft-lbs (29.8-32.5 Nm).

I can remember doing aircraft maintenance manual verifications for problems just like that. My 02 service manual has a page that could be sent in to HD publications if you found the mistakes, I'm sure there are other service manuals with errors out there. Sometimes common sense has to prevail.
