Ooohh He11! Here we go again... Ya know what opinions are like, right?
Well you are fixing to find out. Some say "Yes", some say "No" and then some will give you ALL the "Nuts & Bolts" of it, leavin' ya walkin' 'way sayin' "Huh?"
Myself....I suscribe to them. I've heard they can extend the service life of your engine a lot. My '06 FXDi has 120K mi. on ot no eng. probs. yet. Changed cam chain tensioners as a preventive measure...they were only about 1/2 gone.
Just my $.02
Best wishes....Tim(HT)

Oil coolers on both Dynas, I consider it cheap insurance keeping the oil a tad cooler. If the bikes wind up in warmer locations, i.e. Sturgis in Aug. or Daytona for Biketoberfest the oil won't be a concern. Shame we can't cool the oil in the primary, but that would be considered an overkill by some.

Thanks for the replys.
Never had an issue with my bike burning me until I got my Super Glide.
Exhaust would be expected but bike as a few more hot points.
Made me think that it must run alot hotter than I was used to and as such made me start thinking about the original naysayers that tried to warn me about Harleys vapor locking and shutting down when they get too hot.
Thought the cooler might help prevent future issues.
Asked looking for the voice of experience (did look up and never got a clear answer)...
