If you can, return it or cancel your order. Get at least a Power Commander V, or better yet some kind of downloader like a TTS Mastertune or SE tuner.
The Fuel Pak is not very good. You can't tune a bike with it. You can only select preprogrammed maps from Vance and Hines. My buddy had one, and it never ran correctly, even though he was using V&H components. After multiple calls to V&H he yanked it off and went with a SE program.
unfortunately TTS doesn't have a program for my bike. their the first ones i checked. and i forgot about the power commander. thanks for the heads up. im going to try and cancel my order and get the power commander.
well i cant cancel my order and the payment already went through..... so im going to give the fuelpak a shot and see what happens. and RE oil, i was thinking about running redline in the motor and the syn3 for my primary and trans. any objections to that? good idea, bad idea?
Gary Bangs shop refused to install a Thunderheader period, said they weren't "comfortable doing it due to inferior quality. Been on for 35000 plus miles, no problem.
I don't like Syn3 at all in the primary. It makes the clutch grabby when hot (at least that's my experience).
I prefer either stock Harley Formula+ or Redline primary fluid. Either one works really well. Smooth engagement, which I like.
I've been running Redline in my bagger since 5k miles in all three holes, got like 24k miles now. The shock proof heavy makes the tranny shift hella smooth. It's good stuff. The oil samples I have sent off to Blackstone have all come back good, so I can honestly vouch for the Redline 20w50.

I've had my black one for over 20k miles, no problems. I bought a chrome one for my Dyna, and don't expect any issues there either.
so the dealer said i should wait till break-in is done before changing the pipe, but if i change it now with the bike about half way there, would it hurt the break-in of the motor? or would it help?
did u go 2 duddley bro?? i slapped my on v&h comp pipe when i bought the bike...they sed it shouldnt have any issues
