Can I install a nipple on the steering column on my Street Bob so I don't have to disassemble everything to grease the bearings?
I know I can when everything is disassembeled, but can it be done without taking everything apart? Drill very carefully and so on?
Also, I wonder if there is an opening between the column and the frame on newer Dynas. I have heard that some Sportsters had this problem, and you almost had to fill the hole frame with grease. Anybody knows if this is an issue with the Dynas?
You want to add a zirc fitting to the steering head?
No, you cannot, not without some work, not sure what bike you have or if any changes have been made to the frame, but the head is open into the frame.
It would take a ton of grease to fill it even it was sealed and with that much grease you would not be able to force it into the bearings most likely.

Yes, I it's a zirc fitting I talking about. It's an 2008 Street Bob. When it was time to grease the bearings, I jus put in new ones, since I had to take it all apart. I beleive the old bearings was good enough, but new ones didn't cost too much so I tought it was ok to throw away the old ones. Did it on 50.000 km (30.000 miles).
Ok, I didn't check if the head was open into the frame, but if it really is, a zirc is not a good idea. Are you sure that there is an opening?
The Dynas don't have the grease fitting on the neck like the softails do. On my 07 there are openings from the neck into the area for the key switch, so unless you plug those you would have a mess.
