Does anyone know what the two plugs in the top of the backbone by the steering head are? One is white and one is black and both are 4 pin rectangle plugs.

I have a 2012 Wide Glide and I am also looking for a keyed power source. Unless I am looking in the wrong spot I cant find the four pin connector under the seat. Did this change for 2012? If so, where can I tie in for keyed power source? I tried using the wires for the license plate light but I get feedback through the speakers when I use the turn signals.

Thanks for any help.

The only wires to the headlight are white (high beam), yellow (low beam) and black (ground).
hite and yellow are both switched wires and useless for connecting a radio.

I'd stick to the options I posted previously.

What kind of radio are you setting up?

I have a set of handlebar speakers that hook up to a simple small amp. I powered that puppy up with a "add a fuse" inside the fuse box. Super easy to use and doesnt involve any hacking or having to purchase costly wire harness adapters.
I have a 07 FXD, I just ran the wire from the amp OVER the tank (under the console) then down into my fuse box under my seat.

The add a fuse was purchased at my local advance auto parts

Easy peazy lemon squizy. Reroute the wires to the other side and stick the add a fuse in the accessory fuse slot. That will shut your radio off when your bike is off. No need for a switch. I find it saffer on the life of my battery.

Plus, will never use my bike radio for tunes while it is parked. I have a million (my wife counted) other bluetooth speakers at home I can use for that purpose. lol
