Fng looking for some guidance on a saddle issue. I purchased a sundowner solo saddle for my 05 dyna super glide and am having trouble installing it. The clip on the front of the saddle is not going into the frame. Do I need to modify the clip on the saddle? Is there a trick that I don't know about? Am I stupid and just need to manhandle it into place? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

 

Have you tried pressing down on the front portion of the seat and letting the nose of the seat slide up the tank while pushing forward?... Easier to do than to express. You may want to make sure you have the right seat, too.. There are several and all start with 51933-, the 04/05 model ends with a -04... Had one on my 11 custom and it went on easily. went to a dual sundowner and it slides on easily, too... tomp dd50
