but I'm not sure how it avoids the typical dyna jack issue.
J&S Jack owner here, but doubt I have any photos of it in use.
The frame rails of the Sears/Harbor Freight jack are 14" apart. The J&S is 17" apart. The oil pan that hangs lower than the frame fits between the frame rails of the J&S. All 4 contact points (of the frame) rest on the jack. No modification or spacer blocks needed. I simply roll the jack under the bike and start pumping the jack pedal. No fuss, no muss.
Anyone with pictures of the J&S with a bike on board? I'm thinking I may need to pick one of these up but I'm not sure how it avoids the typical dyna jack issue.
I have a couple of crappy pictures I took with my oil coated mobile phone camera.
Neither is superior to the other in my opinion. Either is superior to anything else. I own a J&S jack. I was lucky to find one on CL. I wanted the J&S because I knew it would be low enough to get under my LR. Both brands are Made in the USA, my preferred Country of Manufacture.
