Hey guys, I know stuff like this has been covered to death, and I'm always researching, but I'm having trouble deciding which way to go with my bike. I just got an 09 vivid black and I can't find enough pics to sway me toward blacking the bike out, or keeping with current theme of adding chrome here and there.

I would have just started blacking it out if the motor came that way like the other model years, but I'm leaning toward chrome (pipes, etc.) because I THINK it will look kind of classy with the shiny black. I want to add the Vance Sideshots and I can't find any pics of the chrome versions on the bike.

So, any of you with 2009's, can you post some pics of what you've done with your bike so I might be able to make a better decision? I would appreciate it, thanks guys!

I kind of like that idea. It seems almost old school now, especially with my bike having the retro 61-62 tank emblems. Just wanted to see what people did, especially the ones who left the lower engine bits matte silver.

 

personally I dont care for chrome... I think black pipes really stand out nice with the silver motor

 

Thanks for posting! I think my only quibble with black pipes is I like symmetry and really the only other thing on the bike that is matte black is the seat. Hmm...but I do agree they contrast nicely with the silver motor.
