Default Water cooled engines

Has anybody heard any more rumors or details of the plan of H-D to transition all their motorcycles to water cooled engines? I read something about it a while back on cyrilhuzeblog.com. just wondering..

Not listening,,,,,,,, lah lah lah.
The intention is to keep the air heads going for as long as poss. I still think they'll be around for a while yet, though Harley will obviously have a water cooled engine waiting in the wings when required by emission regs

The baby boomers/purists are stuck in their old school ways. So once the demographic of purchasers changes so will the line up of motors.
Harley needs to offer the v-rod motor in the dyna line, then the baggers. Give the buying public the option of a water cooled *** kicking motor,or the air cooled 103. Once the option is there people will make the MOCO's mind up.
And the EPA is going to get their noses in there too.
Personally if my dyna was available with the v-rod motor I certainly would have bought it that way. Save me thousands of dollars in engine upgrades.

They'll have to make a water cooled engine that looks better than the v-rod, which wouldn't take much! It's way too ugly as is. I am surprised they haven't used more oil cooling systems like the Buells and other brands to prolong the switch to water cooling.

Ok I'm sure no one cares but why ruin a good thing??? If you want water cooled and hate your nuts being roasted why'd you buy a Harley?

I love my V-rod and could see them on the bigger enclosed Bike with no real issue . But they would ruin all the Open Frame bikes if they tried to fit them on as far as looks go.

Until they are Told THEY HAVE to they are not going to touch a thing. When they do get told that

I agree that Harley isn't going to transition to all water cooled bikes anytime soon but if they were to put a Vrod engine in an Ultra Classic, they would sell a lot of them to all those that are on the fence about buying a Harley.
But for right now there is too many of us that love the simplicity of the Harley engine and the sweet sound they make.
