I just did the V&H 3" slip on, power commander and heavy breather. All under $800 and install was easy. If you like the tommy gun exhaust it's not a bad deal and I think they sound great.
I just put 2 into 2 V&H Big Radius pipes on my 2012 Wide Glide with a Screaming Eagle Heavy Breather.....love it! Looks great and not obnoxiously loud. Barks when you pull the throttle but you can cruise through a neighborhood on lower RPM and get away with it...(knock on wood - no complaints yet)!

Had short shots on my 09 Nightster w/o baffles, very LOUD!!!!From what I have seen or should say heard,I would get a set of quiet baffles.Still plenty loud, but a little deeper sound.Sorry to go off topic here, but Kung Pow's WG for the ***** Effin win(love that scoot).
Now that Christmas is done, time for Daddy to get his toys in order! LOL I've got a '12 WG and thought I would be smart and go with the straightshot Slips when I bought it, no bueno. Part of my HUGE list here this week (slamming rear end, raising tank, accessories, accessories, accessories....) is a full exhaust as I hate the one heat shield that runs along where your calf is. I too was at that point between the shortshot and big shots.... Well, the Short Shot is the winner (after listening to my buddies). Even with everyone saying how loud they are, 75 bucks and an hour of labor ya have the baffles in and you're fine. The only sucky thing is the fact you have to pay so much more just for the matte black...
