Default Leaky Shifter Seal

I've been noticing an intermittent drip from the rear of the primary - '03 Low Rider - thought it was the primary gasket. I replaced the gasket, wrapped the primary drain plug - still drips. The local shop said it was the shift lever seal to the tranny - $350 labor for a $3.50 part. My question - is there any additive I can add to the tranny fluid to help with this, or do I live with it til it gets worse??
Thanx!!

No magic fix unfortunately, Just got either get it fixed or DIY. There are a few good threads that detail the process. i had mine fixed at a local indy in LV and the price was similar. Next time, i'll try my luck doing it myself. Don't forget to buy a service manual before you attempt the fix yourself.

Good Luck
