Been reading for months...my first post. Pulling the trigger on a 2013 Wide Glide/red/with flames, security/ABS/103 engine. Ordering on May 25/for Aug 4 delivery.
Paying list 22K out the door. (Canadian)
First thing....pipes. What does everyone recommend. So far I'm a fan of the V and H slip ons.
Second thing....light modulation...got 3 kids..need to live a while longer.
Any advice is welcome.
PS. Debated between Blackline/Wide Glide....in the end the test ride was the deciding factor. Had a smile on my face the whole time!!!
You say slip ons. Well personally I wasted money getting slip ons since I really wanted a full system. Should have done that from the beginning. Just put that 300 bucks towards some v&h big shots. You will be much happier.
Id recommend a full exhaust on any bike, especially with the fugly ones on the wide glide and fatbob... thats just my opinion
Those big shots would look sweet!
waiting until August would suck Bro
I threw 300 bucks on a set of Python Mamba Slip-Ons. I like the tommy gun 2-1-2 exhaust, part of the reason I bought the Fat Bob. Also it was because I just couldn't decide what exhaust to get. Now after two years of videos/forum questions/bike nights, I am ready to pull the trigger on a Pro Pipe just like the guy above, YNOTS.
Personally love the the Fatbob/Wideglide pipes. In fact, I put them on my Streetbob with SE slipons and love it. I've had Short Shots which I liked. Big Shot Staggereds and Big Radius 2in2s were too loud for me but they look great and I'm an old fart. A Supermeg is great looking, has great performance and can be made to be quiet. That's my .02.
