Default Need Info on Rebuilding 39mm Show FXDX/T Show forks

http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.com/ronnies//showmodel.asp?Type=13&make=hdmc&A=314&B=31&vehicle id=2000-Harley-Davidson-Street-Bike-FXDX-DYNAŽ-SUPER-GLIDE-SPORT-(GJ)-SUSPENSION---FRONT-FORK-ASSEMBLY-W/-STEERING-STEM

I need to install a set of Race Tech Springs and have my Lower Legs Powdered Black on my 2000 FXDX and have never built a set.

I see where the cartridge bolts to the bottom of the lower leg. Do I just use an air ratchet and unbolt the damper from the lower leg?

Is there any specific tools I need to do this job?

Any useful links for this procedure appreciated....

Title says Show and is supposed to say Showa

I have rebuilt a few shocks and you need to take your time and put all the parts back in the right order. Seals only go in one way without leaking. The bottom bolt is like a 1/4 inch socket head and you can use just a breaker bar or wratchet . I would get a Harley Davidson shop manual for your year and model , it would be well worth the extra 60 bucks.

I'm just taking mine to the local race shop, they are sponsered by race tech and have worked on my race bikes in the past. Not only that but the dude will adjust them up for me at the end. What fork oil are you going to run?
