Default Putting SS and Screaming eagle heavy breather today!

Admittedly I am kind of nerd when it comes to working with my hands. However, I am not afraid to takle on projects like this as most people I have spoken with tell me it will not be that difficult.

With tha being said I thought I would see if anyone has any last minute suggestions or advice for me as I am going to give this a go after lunch today.?

By the way, for more clarity I have a 2012 street bob and putting on the Vance and Hines staggered short shots with the screaming eagle heavy breather. Per my HD advice I am scheduled to have it dyno'ed next week. Do I really need to do this? I am definately planning on getting this done as I want to make sure everything is done the right way but at the same time I thought I would ask the question in case there are different opinions.

Thank you!

This vid might help you with the pipes. It's not a full step by step, but it gives you some idea of how it is done. I put a heavy breather on also but no vid, sorry.

You dont need a dyno, but are you using any kind of fuel management (that is what you really need)?

The Fix My Hog guy has added an online video subscription option for $39 after the HDforum discount (check the announcement section). The exhaust video is step-by-step. Might be worth a few extra bucks if you're not feeling confident in your wrenching skills. The only vehicles I ever did my own work on were my old Beetles, so I subscribed to learn more about Harleys. I recommend it.

I have installed the short shots and heavy breather AC on 4 different bikes. Pretty easy to do. The instructions are pretty clear.

Thanks for the video. I just got stock pipes off. Now I am trying to figure out the bracket for the V&H.

Did you go with the standard baffles, or the optional quiet baffles?

Exhaust + breather = lean to leaner running...

Get the dyno done before going WOT, or install a tuner...
