Rattle can bob

Rattle can bob
Just wanted to share my bob. The tins have been plasti dipped. The pipes and AC have been painted with flat black bbq paint. Finally the lower forks have been done with appliance epoxy paint. The job isn't perfect but I'm happy with my scoot for a few major reasons:
1. it's cheap
2. I did it all by myself
3. My scoot is my daily driver and an expensive paint job probably wouldn't be a good idea. This type of finish allows me to do periodic touch ups as opposed to getting a scratch or chip on an expensive paint job.
4. easy to clean. don't have to worry about waxing anything and I can simply use armor all to give the scoot a sheen.
5. My tank was already damaged from gas overflow due to a bad gas cap. So even though the finish isn't perfect, its actually better than the damaged paint job it has under the dip.

took about 2 1/2 cans of plasti-dip cans from home depot. Idea came from this website and youtube (I'm definitely not the first to do this). Plasti-dip is durable once it completely cures; however, a big spill of gas will eat through the dip so you have to be extra careful at the pump. A small drop of gas isn't a big deal just don't wipe it. The difference is I can give the tank a quick touch up anytime where as gas will eat though a traditional paint job over time and that's not such an easy fix. my opinion of course.
