Ive seen about a hundred posts on exhaust systems and slip ons. In your opinion, which are the loudest meanest sounding pipes for this bike. Also, post some pics if you have them. Which do you think look the best with this bike?

 

Dood...just get pipes that look good to you and improve performance.
Loud for the sake of loud is a really juvenile thing, and gives ammo to the people who would legislate what we can and cannot do with our property.

Havingthe loudest bike in town doesn't make you the coolest guy in town. In fact, some might say it makes you an obnoxious azzhole.

Search the forum for "loud pipes"...you'll get a lot of opinions.

If you want the loudest, pull the mufflers of and run open pipes. May not be the smartest move, but it will be loud.

 

I have a thunderheader and love the sound. It's not as loud as some say. I think half the people on here that say it is obnoxious have never heard or ridden with someone who had one. Any straight pipe will be the loudest. I rode with a '80 shovel with straights not too long ago and I didn't know if my bike was running or not, it was that loud! Louder isn't always better.

 

THUNDERHEADERS! Loud enough with a great sound and great performance.

 

I got Cycle shack exhaust system. If I am ridin through the suburban hood I can punch it and get somecar alarmsto go off.

 

I run SE-2 slip-ons with Big City Thunder baffles. The sound is louder but not obnoxiously so. The sound is much deeper though and can be percieved as louder as lower frequencies tend to sound omnipresent. I want to be heard in traffic and the BCT baffles do just that. When I'm feeling juvenile, I'll cruise through a parking lot and set off a few cage alarms.

 

I have Cycle Shack too. Turnouts...they do a nice job on car alarms, but I can keep it quiet if I want to.

 

Mine. And in all honesty I might change simple because I lost a bit of Low end TQ. Cost 50$

 

Bassani's sound good to me. My brother has pythons with BCT baffle and it sounds great.
