alphamoto : led tail light turn signal trouble.. help with wires

Ok.. 08 street bob...

I got a integrated led tail light...

Brake and running light work fine.

My bike has 2 wires for each turn signal but my new tail light only has 1 wire per side for turn signals.

What do I do. connect both left side wires to my new singal wire. Or only use one

Tired of popping fuses, so I figured I would ask

here is the wiring diagram

Wiring:
black wire-> ground
white--> taillight
red->brake
yellow->turn
blue -> turn

but my bike has 2 wires for each turn signal?????

Gar, you don't have a test light??? make one out of one of your old lights and check it out....

It probably uses the frame as ground..( new light ) do you have a picture or manufacturer ?

i dont. so i am looking for one of the wires to have power when the turn signal is flashing?

i am a newb even on the easiest of electrical jobs

Don't hook up the ground wires from the factory turn signals. That light should share the ground from the brake/running light. Just tape them off and you should be good. You may have to install resistors if you get the fast flash.

ok. sounds good. there is a ground that is hooked up to the running part of the light. so the turn signals also have a ground. so I am looking for the hot wire from the turns to hook up and cap of the ground.

I will give a try.

Don't you have a multimeter or test light? If not got to Autozone or equivalent and get one. Look for power on one of the turn signal wires when that side is selected. Connect that wire to the yellow or blue one.

That light doesn't look very bright and appears to have "Made in China" stamped all over it judging by the Engrish on the website.

Would your original signals be dual feature? What I mean by that is some rear signals are marker lights as well as signals, hence 2 wires and frame ground. One for signal and one for marker. Quick way to tell is have a look at the original bulb. 1157 for dual, 1156 for just signal.

My 07 SB has 2 wires one ground one live with a 1156 bulb.
