'07 SB Winter Mods

2 Attachment(s)
I've had my '07 SB since last April and have been eyeballing some accessory mods since it rolled off the truck. Finally had the cash to spring for some stuff - Burly MX pegs, Ness Battistini grips & shift peg, Kuryakyn curved pate frame, & Edge Leather Model 108 bags w/ Edge Brackets. Check out the before and after, and tell me what you think!

Nice job, your scoot looks great.

Looks much better with the front fender back on. The bags take away from the looks a little, but they serve a purpose.

Looking good man

Agreed on the bags, they're really for utility purposes but I was so stoked to finally get them on I had to take a pics! They'll be off most of the time, but available when I need some storage

Another quick note - I ground down the standoffs for the Edge brackets so that they are only about as thick as a washer on the side that snugs up to the struts so as to keep them close in profile... Out of the box they stuck out way too far... a word of caution for those considering the edge brackets - if I didn't have the means & ability to grind down those standoffs, I probably woulda sent 'em back

Honestly I think it looked better before but still not bad now (except for the bags)

How comfortable are those grips?

The grips are pretty comfy, though if I weren't wearing gloves I don't know that I could say that. There's a precision bearing in the throttle side grip, so the action is killer.

Let me ask, what is it about the "before" stage that you think looks better than the "after" stage? I'm always curious to hear different peoples' opinions on things like that

Well I don't really care for those foot pegs and I always liked the looks of those grips but for some reason the original grips you had just seemed to fit your bike better in my eyes.
I don't like the bags. I know they are very functional and I had some on my Sportster that people hated but I just can't bring myself to put any on the Street Bob. When I need to carry something I strap it to the rack on back (really wish I didn't need that either but it was the least ugliest way to carry stuff I could find) with a bungie or strap a bag temporarily on the back.

I like the look of no front fender but no way would I ever try that riding in wet weather. I think it's a good idea you put it back on.

I do like the curved license plate holder.

Thanks for not getting all bent out of shape when you hear an honest opinion. :icon_beerchug:
