Default Work stand for Lowrider S

I'm the proud new owner of a Lowrider S. But my flat top Drag Specialties bike lift won't work with it, too uneven underneath. What is a good model bike lift/work stand for a Lowrider S? Preferably in the few hundred dollar range. Thanks, Buck

If your drag specialties lift looks like this... Which seems to be a way overpriced, rebranded craftsman lift.

You need to do this mod...

So I'm assuming the J&S works as is, but the Sears "Red" needs the mod.
Definitely a price difference!
I'll have to ponder this a bit more.

Thanks!

i just bit the bullet and ordered a j&s. i have a HTF lift (sear red style) and the bottle jack started to fail. HFT wants 69 for a new lift and a replacement bottle jack is 59. it was comical, i "duct taped" the old bottle jack and put in the j&s order.

the fail: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...l#post16947581
the temp "fix": https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...l#post16956907

i'm not saying don't do it. the HTF has worked well and more than paid for itself. just get straps

Bite the bullet.... J&S all the way. I was very skeptical but it is so worth it. You can roll it all over, sit on it, work on it, etc...

J&S is really the way to go, even though they're a little bit pricey. Factor in that it basically replaces a jack and a lift table for most people's needs, and it can free up space in the garage and allow a stationary bike to be easily moved anywhere. It's also the fastest lift to use, as you really don't need to mess around with balance/frame blocks/straps etc (but don't blame me if you find a way to knock it over, I'm sure it's still possible). It's tremendously stable all the time, without any modification needed. I can start my bike, rev it, sit on it, etc. without upsetting it at all.

This does look like the safest option. I wasn't planning on spending this much, but it's probably worth it in the long run.
Thanks,
Buck
