Dyna floorboards
Has anyone done this yet?
http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US How hard is the install? |
Wasn't hard at all.
|
I did it, and was super easy to install, and I installed them on my 2002
|
I am really wondering if the installation of these is any different than the forward controls? I don't want to have to crack my primary case or anything like that. I'm looking for a simple bolt on solution.

I had mid controls, installed these and left my shifter shaft in place, just in case I sell the bike or change my mind, these install pretty much like forwards, the only difference is the footboard mounts at 2 places

You can just install a chrome 'beauty cap' over the end of your shifter shaft and bolt the inner lever to a tie down bracket on the motor/trans case ...
It is the same solution that many adopt when switching to forward controls ... avoids the necessity of having to remove the primary cases ... The footboard kit should be an easy half-hour or so install if you are not doing anything with the mid-control shift lever ... Good confidence building project ... next up cams ...! LoL R/ 'Chop |

Dealer installed mine. Was only $80 for the install. They look amazing.

I'm more of a chrome whore with the bike but shows you have many options once you install the kit. I almost went with same inserts Calvert is running.
