any tips or suggestions when changing front brake lever. i heard something about a switch in there somewhere. did clutch already. that was cake. any and all suggestions would help.
when I changed out my levers they were both the same, a cake walk. Just swap it out like the clutch. the switch is self-contained, nothing will pop out, at least on my '13 bob.
STOP! You have to put a small spacer in the lever before you remove it so that you do not destroy the switch.
Pull on lever, put a spacer to fill the gap that will hold the lever open while you remove it. Once you remove it, have a look at the tiny micro switch inside. It has a rubber boot on it. Switch is about $65 and a little bit of a pain to change.

It's a fairly easy and straight-forward job as long as you're careful. The microswitch sits on the grip side of the switch housing (easy to see once you remove the lever). Insert the new lever in at a slight angle to avoid hitting the microswitch straight on, drop in the clevis and you're set.

Good to know will be changing out levers today don't need no problems.
The clutch lever switch is situated differently then the brake lever switch. The brake lever is the only one you have to do, but I tend to do both.
If you remember those little packages of cheese and crackers, the one that you use the little plastic stick to spread the cheese, that little plastic spreader is the exact thickness of spacer that you need. I went out and picked some up just to get the stick!

ok. got it done. thx for the info guys. the lever came out without putting a spacer in. just had to angle the the lever alittle as i pulled it out of the housing. then angled it again as i place it back in. some internet info said to separate the housing to get out the lever but on my 2008 fat bob i didnt have to do that.
