T-Bar question

Looking to put some tbars on my Dyna Low, and I was wonder how tall I can go (inch wise) and still use (what I assume are) the stock lines like throttle, brake, clutch etc. Right now, they are run through the triple trees, and up over the top. So I'm assuming if I run the behind the trees (between them and the tank) and make sure they are clear of pinching, I can gain a few inches of height. Idk if that all made sense but.... :icon_denk:

First of all if you consider 12" with Westcoast T-bar they really are 13" so any height from WC tbars you have to add one inch to the "said" height. Second thing you should tell us your height for example i'm 5'9" and run 12". Third whatever size you choose just mock them with broom stick or whatever and see what size fit you the most

Whiskey, I have an 03 low and I am running wild 1 10" t bars with stock cables, But I could not go any higher without changing cables.

There is however plenty of wiring for bars taller than 10".

Hope that helps you.

Gotcha.... I'm also 5'9", and mocked up a set out of 3/4" pipe. I have them set up for 12" (13" actual) right now.

I just put some 10" west coast t-bars on.. I can tell you that a 64" clutch cable is perfect for 10s.. so for 12" you should use a 66" clutch. I use 32" throttle/idle cables (stock street bob length) but IMO they are a tad too long for 10" t-bars but would be perfect for 12" ones.

I'm not sure about the brake line.

There was plenty of slack for the handlebar wiring.. probly enough for 14" bars.

That seems like too much pressure on the wrists after a long time. Put your hands out and it has a natural turn.

Going from my dyna bars to sportster bars were a huge difference. I would never consider going strait bar.

They look good, but I'm more into comfort.
