Please help!!!!!

I am new to the board and have a problem with my 2000 super glide. I went for a ride today and all of a sudden when i went to stop it would die.then i would start it right up and the go til i had to slow down again. I had to keep on the throttle so the bike wouldnt die til i got home. Now it wont start. Or it will start then die a few seconds later. I need some help as it is my only mode of transportation right now. It has a stage 1 screaming eagle kit on the carb and screaming eagle 2 pipes. Please help me

There are several things that can go wrong, First thing I would check are the plugs, they may be fouled, as the symptoms you describe are just like fouled plugs, replace with known good ones, next there could be dirt in the carb, remove the bowl and check the jets to make sure they are not blocked. Check plug wire connections at the plugs and coil, all these things should take an hour or less to check.

One time my bike died and could not figure out why it did, then I decided to play with the ignition switch, by wiggling the key, found out my ignition switch was worn out.

also check battery connections. All these things are quick easy checks, if these are all good then time to dig deeper like crank position sensor , good grounds etc..

Sounds like crap in your jets. Could it be bad gas? Fuel filter. Time for a tune up?

The plugs was the firsg thing i thought and they were carboned up so i replaced them and checked the connections to the coils as well

Did it run better after replacing the plugs, carboned up plugs indicates a rich mixture, too much choke or stuck choke, may need to pull carb off and give it a good cleaning, and blow out passages with compressed air.

flow bowl might be out of adjustment and flooding the carb

did you adjust the air/fuel mixture screw

Changing the plugs didnt make a difference. I havnt adjusted anything except for the idle screw. And if i can get it started i can sit there and pull back on the throttle and it runs and then as soon as i let off on it it dies

Pull the top cover off the carb and check the vacuum slide and look at the diaprhamg for any pin holes, mine had pin holes, the only way I could get it to idle was to adjust the idle screw.
