reverse lowering?? Raising the bike height

OK to I just got a 2000 FXDX Super Glide Sport. Previous owner lowered it (I think), to far. I can not ride with a passenger with out the fender rubbing on the tire.
I can't find a lowering kit to take off, so how do I raise it back up to a stock height?
Maybe he put a taller rear tire on it, any idea what a stock size is?

If you put a taller tire on it will make it closer to the fender and the problem will be worse. Either it has shorter shocks on it, or the stockers are adjusted all the way down.

I dont want to put a taller tire on it... I think the previous owner did.. that is why I was asking if anyone knew what a stock tire size is... Shocks are adjusted all the way up...

130 80 16

If the shocks are adjusted to their max height, you may need to get the correct size or even go a little longer. That will help in ride comfort and be better for two up riding.
Sorry, I misread what you said about the tire. Looks like you got your answer while I was typing this. So, what size tire is on there now?

2000 fxd's stock tire is 130/80 - 16.
fxdx runs a 150/80 - 16

Do you have the shocks that have 2 adjustments (one for height the other for rebound)? If so those shocks I think are 13.5" in length shouldn't bottom out.

Got to check on the current tire size.. any idea what size/length the stock shocks are? maybe the ones on it are shorter..

I just did that to my 05 super glide.
The forks were sagging pretty bad.
I spent less than $300 and raised the bike 0.6 inches in the rear and 1.25 inches in the front. The ride is so much better and the handling is day light to dark difference.
Add progressive fork springs and added a additional 3/4inch spacer.
Went with 12.6 412 shocks from the Harley 12 inch shocks.

There is a lot better options out there but due to school fixing to start and a build I just did left me low on $$$.

Stock shocks are 12 inches, the most common way of lowering is with shorter shocks.
If they are HD shocks They bottom really easy especially if they are the 11 inch shocks.

Can you post a picture? Stock FXDX shocks are 13.5 inches. Is it lowered with blocks? Shorter shocks? Both? If its shorter shocks buy longer ones. If its blocks take them off. Not to sound like a dick but would'nt reverse lowering be called lifting? Pics would be helpful.

Another spot of info is the shocks aren't height adjustable. The spring can be adjusted for preload but that shouldn't effect the eye to eye height just the sag when you sit on the seat.
