Hey there everyone.. Doing a little research, and wondering who is running S&S easy start chain drive cams in their dynas.. Opinions, install, grinds, etc.. Looking to put these in a 96 stage 1, and PV tuner.. Thanks-
I have been looking at those 570s and 585s, should be good on a dyna with headwork.
Yeah.. Both of those look great, but don't plan on doing any head work.. Yet.. Lol. I think I'm looking for a nice balanced cam.. That's good all the way through 4500 rpms
I know they're not S&S, but my Andrews 48's are still making 95 ft/lbs at 4500 rpm. No headwork, just an intake, V&H slipons on stock headers, 030 head gaskets and TTS on a 96 incher.
Also, if you go to the Engine/Fuel/Intake/Exhaust section of the forum, you'll find TON of info about cams, and pretty knowledgeable guys to answer your questions.
Yes it is considered needed.
I used the SE cam plate with gear driven SS585 cams. I would check the run out before hand.
I am also using the SS585 chain drive cams in a 106"
For me The SS585 cams are a good over all cam in the Dyna bikes. With good head work These cams will be arm stretchers.
Personally, talking about me-not someone else, I would save and do head work and bore it out to 103 at least, at the same time.
106" stage 3 head work and SS585 cams
