Think I'm Going to Trade Up
I've had my 2012 Nightster for about 14 months and recently started thinking I should have just bought a Dyna to begin with. I know, I know. There are quite a few folks out there that owe me a "told ya so."
I'm thinking I might have what I need some time around Thanksgiving. Somewhere around $17k is the number I will probably have to work with. I do like the Fat Bob quite a bit, but I think I've settled on the Street Bob.
Things that have bugged me about my Sportster include:
2014 Street Bob or 2014 Fat Bob

Things that have bugged me about my Sportster include:
- Even with forwards, I feel cramped. Score one for a Dyna with forwards.
- I wish I had a sixth gear for the interstate. Score another one for a Dyna with a sixth gear.
- My swingarm bag doesn't provide enough storage. I think saddlebags or a sissy bar would fix that.

I just did the same thing. I only had the sportster for 9 months before I traded up. Traded a sportster 1200 for a dyna super glide. I thought that I might miss the smaller bike for the in town riding but since taking delivery I haven't looked back. I'm 6'2" and needed forwards on the sportster but have mids on the dyna. I don't feel cramped at all, in fact, the bike feels more nimble and easier to control. Do what will make you happy and you won't look back.

For what it's worth, I had a Fat Bob and needed to sell it. I now have a SB, and while I like the way it looks, it is nowhere near the same. There is a thread running about it right now.
