Default What tool do you use for the HD style fuel line clamps?

I am updating my tools and want a set of pliers to use for crimping the Harley Davidson style hose clamps. I found a set from Motion Pro but they are $30 bux and I was looking for a cheaper tool store option.

What crimping tool do you guys use for these clamps?

There called Otiker crimpers. Used years and years in the soda industries. You can find em at a soda parts supplier. Might be a little cheaper at a soda supplier but its been years since I've had to buy a pair. Also you can buy the otiker clamps there also in a wide varity of sizes.

In a pinch a pair of 9 inch side cutters will work.

Aren't they basically the same ones that you use to put the bands on CV boots? If so, any auto parts store should carry them.

I thought I did have a set of CV Boot Pliers at one time, but they went missing or broke so I wasnt sure if they were the same tool or not.

I just bought these from my local dealer. I have had great luck with Motion Pro Tools in the past so I spent the extra dough and added these to my tool box.

We bought a pair of Kobalt brand hose clamp crimp pliers for use at work. They look exactly like those in the photo a couple of posts up except blue handles. I think they were under $10. Lowes or Home Depot, I don't remember.

Why not a regular hose clamp? I have a pair and quick connect coupler.
