Thanks to this forum I finished my 16 inch ape install this weekend. Just wanted to say thanks and post some pictures. First time trying to put pictures in a post, so I hope it works. Thanks again.

what +size cables did you use? looks great, Im also in the process of installing 16"s and pondering cable length. Most information on cable length is for the gimp hangers which are narrower then most apes!! Any help on cable length for 16"s is appreciated! +6 is what ive been reading everywhere sofar. Thanks

Mike - yeah, I'm 6'3 or 4, they fit right about at my shoulders. I also had to extend the forward controls another 3 inches to fit, but now the bike fits perfect.

Ash- I used +6 cables but were givin the wrong year +6 originally so I had the stock throttle/idle off allready and just brought that in to the store and measured off that. Also on the brake line I had a piece made that was 52" end to end not including the banjo fittings. I didn't need to extend the wiring. It just barley fit. The whole job took a weekend. I also extended my heated grip wiring and those are all routed internally also. That was a bitch. All worth it though. If I was any shorter, I think I would go with shorter handle bars though for long trips. Thats just me though. Good luck.

They look great. I am 6' tall and wanting the 16" for my bike also. So are they at the top or bottom of you shoulders. I just dont want them eye level.
